Parting Shots: An Outing Way Above Par

Operation Finally home golf outing

The Structural Building Compon-ents Association of the Capital Area (SBCACAP) held its seventh annual golf outing in October at the Evergreen Country Club in Virginia. Jess Lohse, SBCA’s new executive director, as well as Pedro Loureiro, president of the National Framers Council (NFC), and Rusty Carroll, executive director of Operation FINALLY HOME (OFH), joined over 40 other golfers from throughout the supply chain.

Gene Frogale, president of Annandale Millwork and Allied Systems, and Kenny Shifflett, president of Ace Carpentry, worked diligently to arrange and promote the event to raise money for a future OFH charity build benefitting a military veteran. “It was great to have the opportunity to bring everyone together,” says Gene. “We are committed to giving back to our veterans and supporting the mission of Operation FINALLY HOME. The money we raised will either go to another build in our area or possibly to support another SBCA chapter in building a home for a veteran in their state.”

SBCA Chapters interested or presently engaged in an OFH charity build are encouraged to reach out to Rhonda Leppert for more information.
