Fun Stuff at BCMC

There were a lot of opportunities beyond the show floor and educational sessions to build relationships, have a bit of fun, and make some lasting memories.

Fun stuff at the show, golfing, bike ride, casino night and people attending events1. The week kicked off with a successful round of golf, as 37 golfers found their way through 18 holes with a few laughs, unfortunate hits, and a good dose of brewed connections.

2. A daring group of bike enthusiasts geared up and rolled over 50 miles of Wisconsin for the annual BCMC bike ride.

3. Braving a brisk, early morning, 67 runners took to the streets of downtown Milwaukee as part of the annual 5K. The route took participants along the scenic Milwaukee River. Tom Ellerbrook (FastenMaster) took first place with a time of 21:33!

4. BCMC attendees filled the tours of Accurate Housing Systems in East Troy, Wisconsin, as well as Windsor Building Systems/Amwood Homes and the Structural Building Components Research Institute (SBCRI) in Madison, Wisconsin.

5. The second annual Casino night gave attendees a chance to unwind and try their luck at a number of table games.

6. During the closing reception, competitions of all sorts were on display. The winners of the annual bocce ball tournament were Steve Hawkins and Jason Walsh (both with California TrusFrame). Mike Beebe and Kyle May (both with Reno Truss) earned first-place in the bag toss tournament.

7. In the SBCA booth, Greg Griggs won $100 from the Emerging Leaders 50/50 drawing and Carl Schoening won $300 as part of the “Drive-A-Nail” game. Both generously contributed their winnings to Lee Kirgan with Operation Finally Home
