MaterialsXchange (MX), the Chicago-based B2B E-commerce platform for lumber and wood products has expanded its sales team by adding industry veteran Dave Gaudreau to its organization. Gaudreau will serve in a sales capacity as Director.
Gaudreau has more than 30 years of experience, holding roles in sales and business development, with over 20 of those years as Vice President Business Development and National Accounts for Sherwood Lumber.
“Dave and I worked together at Sherwood.” notes Ashley Boeckholt, CRO and co-founder of MX. “He is a hard-working, go-getter which is exactly what we need on our team. As a young technology business in a non-technical industry, we need a fighter with vast lumber knowledge. Dave is a highly intelligent leader who knows how to get the job done. Most importantly, he is a good person that we are excited to have on our team as an agent of industry change.”
Dave is jumping into his role at MX headfirst. He sees the digital transformation for building materials as a great advancement and is eager to link his deep-rooted customer base with MX’s new technology.
MaterialsXchange makes buying and selling North American softwood lumber and structural wood panels efficient. The MX platform ensures free, equal access to a product’s price for all users, and transactions are made with just the click of a button. Money is transferred quickly and securely, and shipping is hassle-free with both car and rail options.
Just last month MX launched its rail option, partnering with Raven Logistics.
