Goal of SBCA’s 'Be Essential' Campaign Is to Find Quality Workers
Members continue to make forward progress on the goals of SBCA's Strategic Plan through small groups called "strike forces," which are addressing specific member pain points outlined in the plan. Strike Force 5 is focused on Workforce Development initiatives. One opportunity Strike Force 5 has recognized is leveraging the essential nature of our industry during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In that vein, "Be Essential" is a new social media campaign by SBCA that uses photos and videos from CMs across the country to highlight the valuable role the building components industry has played in the lives of its employees, while promoting the industry as a safe and essential industry where people can take pride in their work knowing that they are helping build homes, schools, and places of business.
Each ”Be Essential” post will link back to the Career Opportunities page on SBCA’s Best Way to Frame website. The goal is to advocate for the industry and make people more aware of the job opportunities available.

Post your company's current job openings on our website by logging in here. On Wednesday, July 1, SBCA will launch the "Be Essential" campaign with an initial post. This will increase traffic on SBCA’s Careers page and potentially help CMs reach new job seekers that wouldn’t otherwise apply or even know about the building components industry.
