Public Health Labs Ramp Up COVID-19 Testing

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has created a webpage tracking the number of public health labs (PHLs) that have been verified and are conducting COVID-19 diagnostic tests. As of Monday, 97 PHLs are active, with one or more in all 50 states. They have created an interactive map that show the states actively testing (click on the image to view the interactive map on the CDC webpage):
To provide a sense for the number of specimens tested, CDC is tracking them in this chart, which they indicate they will be updating periodically (note that as of the time of publication, the number of test performed after April 15 are incomplete because reporting lag times can extend from four to seven days):
