Researchers at Carnegie Mellon University teamed up with social media giant Facebook to aggregate self-reported data to try to visually capture an estimated percentage of people with COVID-19 symptoms in individual U.S. counties. It’s important to note that the resulting map below is based on estimations of responses to a survey, not tested and confirmed cases. Still, it does provide one measure on the current spread and concentration of this pandemic virus. For employers, it gives you a sense for where current outbreak “hot-spots” are located.
