In light of recent ransomware attacks targeting component manufacturers (CMs), BCMC is offering educational sessions geared toward IT professionals in the components industry. In “Are You Prepared to Be Shut Down Indefinitely?” panelists Mike Ruede and Keith Buelta of A-1 Roof Trusses will share their firsthand experience of a ransomware attack that shut down their entire operation for well over a week in 2018. Mike and Keith will be joined by a cybercrimes expert from the Federal Bureau of Investigation to point out steps CMs can take to protect themselves from attacks as well as what to do if your company is attacked.
This session will highlight specific vulnerabilities CMs face with the use of computerized machinery connected to networks with internet and email capabilities. Learn what steps you and your company can take to minimize the effect of ransomware attacks and ensure you’re not shut down indefinitely!
We look forward to seeing you at BCMC this October 22-25 in Columbus, Ohio! Register today to “Set Your Course” to join the conversation about cybersecurity as well as enjoy all the other great sessions, activities and show floor exhibits at BCMC 2019!
