Safe+Sound: Join OSHA & NFC in Celebrating Your Safety Successes
The National Framers Council (NFC) is excited to once again support OSHA’s Safe+Sound Campaign in a nationwide effort to raise awareness of the value of workplace safety and health programs as a campaign partner. Just as safety training is an ongoing process, Safe + Sound is a year-round campaign. This year’s event, scheduled for August 12-18, is designed to “celebrate the successes of businesses that have implemented safety and health programs in the workplace.”
As an organization whose mission is to develop and implement best practices to help ensure framers work safely and go home safely, NFC encourages everyone to get more involved in this important initiative. “You can host an event just for your workers or host a public event to engage your community,” OSHA suggests. “After you’ve completed your events, you can download a certificate and web badge to recognize your organization and your workers.”
“Serious job-related injuries or illnesses don’t just hurt workers and their families, but can hurt business in a variety of ways,” OSHA states on the campaign website, which provides a variety of resources for participants. “Implementing a safety and health program, however, can improve small and medium-sized businesses’ safety and health performance, save money, and improve competitiveness.”
