Trusses Now Cultural Norm When Public Thinks of Framing

In an article published this past week that focuses on affordable housing in California, the Wall Street Journal featured on its front page the photograph above of a componentized shear wall.  In a separate article, Bloomberg Markets News used the photo of floor truss installation in their story on the 25.5% surge in September residential housing starts.

These photos tell a compelling story about the role and acceptance of structural building components in the public consciousness.As reflected in these national media publications, when buildings are being framed, the examples used are trusses and components.
