Cost of Safety Noncompliance Is on the Rise
OSHA fines are top of mind for many this year in light of recent news that fines would increase as much as 80% in 2016. A quick scan of OSHA News Releases from 2016 alone highlight the degree to which the federal government is cracking down, in some cases for good reason. Serious fall injuries and deaths have been cited across the country and have resulted in hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines, not to mention the irreparable damage to the lives of workers and their families.
