If you believe in helping an industry of professional framing companies, skilled subcontractors, general contractors, suppliers and design professionals grow into a community with a particular interest in  workforce safety, quality and professional growth on framing jobsites, then now is the time to join the National Framers Council (NFC).

As the NFC approaches its second birthday, it has witnessed a steady flow of new members in the last few months. The NFC has 13 regions nationwide. Presently, there are 29 Professional Framer Members, representing more than 15,000 framers doing business in 42 states. In addition, Skilled Subcontractors are also joining NFC to participate in FrameSAFE through the Professional Framer members with whom they do business. The 42 Associate Members/Sponsors include general contractors, suppliers, component manufacturers, building material distributors and design/engineering professionals who operate both regionally and in all 50 states.

In 2015, there has also been an influx of subscribers to FrameSAFE, NFC's bilingual, OSHA Standard 1926.20-compliant safety program (available in English/Spanish). FrameSAFE is a valuable, constructive tool that supports a culture of safety for Professional Framers and their Skilled Subcontractors and includes a Site-Specific Fall Protection Plan Template, Toolbox Talks, Safety Posters and other training materials.

The NFC works to proactively guide the industry, nationally, by standardizing processes and procedures as best practices.  The NFC aims to meet the needs of the framing community, raise awareness of important work-related issues and challenges and establish a forum for collaboration.  If you haven’t already, now is the time to apply for membership with the NFC and get more involved, organize a regional meeting, sponsor an event, promote new products and contribute to the growing community of members.

Take the lead now! RSVP to join today and become part of this unique community of like-minded framers, GCs, suppliers and design professionals.
