Day 2 of the BCMC show started out with a packed house to hear the Economic Speaker, Mr. Jim Dunn, Chair of Branch Board, Oklahoma City Branch Board of the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. Apparently, he had good news to say because attendees left with smiles on their faces. After the forecast, another round of speakers gave engaging presentations on a wide variety of topics, including one analyzing the issues surrounding lumber design values.
After the education sessions, the show floor officially opened for business (no blue curtains here)!
After that, it was "game on" all afternoon. Speaking of games, BCMC Hoops brought a new kind of competition to the exhibit floor this year. It was so fierce, it took two stern referees (Greg Griggs, left and Javan Yode, right) to keep everyone in line:
There were two contests on Wednesday, the first was a straight-forward free throw shooting contest, won by Kevin Johnson (left), and the second was a game of T-R-U-S-S (played just like HORSE), won by Dan Schooler. Nice shooting guys!
The day was over much too soon, but lest we never forget:
