At the SBCA Open Quarterly Meeting (OQM) in Chicago, IL on August 1, 2013, the Board of Directors approved the Structural Building Components Industry Truss and Component Raw Material and Construction Products Design Properties Policy (click on the pdf link below to view and download the document).

Given the structural component industry’s reliance on resistance of load for the structural framework of any building, and its assumed factor of safety are predicated on accurate and reliable raw material and construction products design values, application factors and related engineering properties, the Board unanimously approved this policy.
