U.S. LUMBER GROUP, LLC and Midwest Lumber announced today that they have signed an agreement under which U.S. LUMBER will acquire Midwest Lumber. The combination will create a company with a broader geographic presence and an expanded product mix. U.S. LUMBER, based in Atlanta, is a leading two-step distributor of specialty building products in the Eastern and Midwestern United States, while Midwest Lumber, headquartered in Stillwater, Minnesota, is a leading two step distributor of specialty building products in the Upper Midwest.

Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The companies expect to complete the transaction by early June, subject to customary closing conditions.
