A recent survey asked builders which labor-saving technologies they are most likely to use in the near future. The results shouldn’t surprise any component manufacturer:

According to respondent, roof trusses (17%) were the most likely to be used more heavily in the coming year. Following at a distant second was pre-cut framing packages (8%). More and more builders are recognizing that trusses are the most cost-effective and efficient way to reduce the need for jobsite labor. The fact that builders second most sought after choice was pre-cut framing packages sends a clear signal that builders are looking for any opportunity to reduce the number and required skill level of framers.
